Over 100 qualified nursing staff are involved in delivering quality care services to our residents at Amaroo. We are proud of the team of compassionate people we work with at Amaroo and our low staff turnover means that residents benefit from building genuine, ongoing relationships with their carers.
All staff employed by Hunter Valley Care hold a qualification relevant to their position and must pass compulsory assessments that are conducted in the workplace. We select staff based on suitable skills, experience, passion for care and a good-natured attitude.
We understand that the transition into aged care can be a sensitive time for residents. To support those coming into our care, we offer counselling through our Emotional Support Service. Our Coordinator will meet with residents on admission to discuss their emotional state and provide support. The Coordinator will continue to meet with the resident to help them adjust to their new lifestyle and living environment. Any significant outcomes of these sessions will be discussed with the resident’s family.
With the professional and personal commitment of our qualified and experienced team, you can be assured that we have your loved one’s physical, psychological and social wellbeing in mind at all times.
