At Fig Tree Point, we strive to enhance people’s lives by genuinely caring. We want our residents to feel that they are part of a bigger family and that Fig Tree Point is their home.
Our staff are passionate about assisting our residents to live as independent and active a life as possible; we are here to help as required. With 24-hour registered nursing care available seven days a week, residents can be assured that someone is always around to help.
Our person-centred approach to care is founded on the belief that every person is a valued individual in their own right, worthy of respect and deserving of the means to live their life as they please.
We tailor care plans to cater to the needs of the individual, so personal choices and preferences when it comes to residents’ care and lifestyle preferences are always respected.
We want our residents to feel secure in the fact the Fig Tree Point is their home for as long as they want. The emotional security we provide comes not only from our caring team, but also through security of tenure thanks to our ageing in place philosophy. Our residents can be assured that they don’t have to move just because their care needs increase.
We offer the following types of care at Fig Tree Point:
Low Level Care
Our low care service provides assistance with personal care, meals, cleaning, laundry, administration of medications, and access to health care services, as well as a range of activities to enhance quality of life. Residents are encouraged to maintain their independence; we are here to help as required.
High Level Care
Our high care service provides increased assistance with personal care, such as bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting. We also assist with meals, cleaning, laundry, administration of medications, rehabilitation support, and access to health care services, as well as providing a range of activities to enhance quality of life. Personal services may be the same as low care, but with more emphasis on nursing care for people with greater needs.
Our palliative care service aims to relieve and prevent the suffering of people nearing the end of life. Our team of compassionate nurses focusses on physical, emotional, spiritual and social aspects that arise for the person in care, and provides support to the family at this delicate time.
Our respite care service offers family and carers the opportunity to take a break from their care responsibilities. They can rest assured that their loved one is being well cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our Admissions Officer would be more than happy to discuss the care services that would best suits your or your loved ones’ needs. Please call Judy on 02 4950 4133 9:00am – 3:00pm Monday – Friday.
