At Waterview we are passionate about enhancing people’s lives by genuinely caring. Our person-centred approach to care is founded on the belief that every person is a valued individual in their own right, worthy of respect and deserving of the opportunity to live their life as they please.
We will always respect residents’ choices and preferences, tailoring care plans to cater to the needs of the individual.
Residents can be assured that someone is always around to help, with 24-hour registered nursing care available seven days a week.
We support the philosophy of ageing in place, so our residents can be assured that Waterview will remain their home as their care needs increase from low level care through to high care and palliative care. We also offer respite care to allow carers a short break from their responsibilities.
At Waterview we provide the following types of care:
Low Level Care
Our low care service provides assistance with personal care, meals, cleaning, laundry, administration of medications, and access to health care services, as well as a range of activities to enhance quality of life. Residents are encouraged to maintain their independence; we are here to help as required.
High Level Care
Our high care service provides increased assistance with personal care, such as bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting. We also assist with meals, cleaning, laundry, administration of medications, rehabilitation support, and access to health care services, as well as providing a range of activities to enhance quality of life. Personal services may be the same as low care, but with more emphasis on nursing care for people with greater needs.
Our palliative care service focuses on relieving and preventing the suffering of people nearing the end of life. We focus on physical, emotional, spiritual and social aspects that arise for the person in care, and provide support to the family at this delicate time.
Our respite care service offers family and carers the opportunity to take a break from their care responsibilities. They can rest assured that their loved one is being well cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our Admissions Officer would be more than happy to discuss the care services that would best suits your or your loved ones’ needs. Please call Pauline on 02 4941 7000 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday.
